TKS and the KAUST Winter Enrichment Program 2024

In January, KAUST hosted it’s annual Winter Enrichment Program.  This is an opportunity for KAUST faculty, staff and students, the wider KAUST community, and TKS students and teachers, to meet, network and learn from internationally renowned speakers and experts.

This year’s theme was “Digital Adventures – The Ride to the Future”.  The two-week program was full of keynotes, presentations, workshops and other activities, with some of the activities taking place at TKS, including: the TKS Grade 10 and 11 students learned more about Generative AI and Art from Kilich Haydarov, PhD student in Computer Science, the Elementary and Middle School students learned about MagicLeap and ShaderEditor from Ivan Viola (Professor of Computer Science) and his team, and the High schoolers spent 4 days learning how to program the KAUST Central App with the KAUST Smart team.

Many thanks to Kilich Haydarov, Professor Mohamed ElHoseiny, Professor Ivan Viola, Donggang Jia, Zainab Alsuwaykit, Juan Carvallo, Antonio Arena, Ahmed Swilam and the KAUST Smart team for their amazing support for our TKS students.
