TKS High Schoolers complete courses in Core Labs

The TKS Grade 11 and 12 students have the opportunity to attend short courses at the KAUST University Core Labs – where they get some experience in using common lab equipment and understanding lab protocols.  Not only is this something valuable and unique for them to include on their University portfolios, but for those students planning to further their studies in the sciences, they already have a head start in basic lab operations and equipment!

Students can currently attend short courses in the Analytical Chemistry and the Imaging & Characterization labs.  For the current school year, 64 students have attended the courses so far.  The program will be expanded in the coming months to also include the Prototyping & Product Development and BioScience Core Labs.
